Hi Guys,
I’m in the midst of coming out with an ebook on choosing your niche market / doing market research. I’m sure a lot of you have questions about doing market research.
Some of you might have already read a thing or two about doing market research especially from you know who
Granted, I believe there are ways to expand this topic a little more. The things that I’ve thought about while doing my research on this topic are
- Identifying a hot market
- Identifying profitable niches
- Essential Tools / software for niche market analysis
- Keyword research (which can be part of the essential tools)
- Free and Paid Resources to do market research
I’d love to hear how I can expand this topic a little further especially from experienced marketers. Drop me a line below and let me know.

Hi Bryan, I’m always interested in learning more ways to identify profitable niches. Outside of the tools available (easy part) it would be great to see detailed examples of assumptions, numbers, and results. And please, nothing about dog training or anything

Hey Robert,
Thx for the input. Will take note of that and LOL yes no dog training but I might quote some examples with some niches or keyphrases though.

Robert said “not the tools” but I would say that breaking it down simply with sections on what each tool can do would not be a bad idea. For instance: Show Google keyword tool and screenshots and all the information that can be gleaned from it in a cohesive manner. Sort of what Robert says but organized by tool used along tool used and rates of the tools (like maybe a star system). Just an idea, but I think something like that could be useful to someone new.
You should definitely go with, “CAT obedience training”

That’s an awesome idea Steve. And of course I was being a selfish jerk in saying to not mention the tools. Depends on who this would be for, so as Steve says the tools would be good. I stand corrected.

Steve,
I actually think that putting a tools section would be useful and I’ve been working on articles that explain those tools right now since some of my audience might not know basic tools to use for market research. Parts of the ebook are coming together but I don’t want it to be like any other typical book where most of you have heard of the methods I’m talking about. That’s the whole purpose of coming up with post. The star system sounds good. HAHA Cat obedience training! now that’s something to look into
Case studies, examples and more metrics. The way you learn (or I do) is by having a way to correlate the information I am getting with a ‘in the field’ example and how it can or does effect the methodology given. i.e. how it would change if competition was stronger in a niche then expected. How you would tackle that.

Hey Don,
I think people do like to see some figures and numbers as well as some comparisons for certain niche. That would make the book a little more interesting than just a bunch of words explaining you how to go from A-Z. What i was thinking also was to include some examples with the methods I use in this ebook. That way people will have an idea how to put things into practice. I don’t plan to put too much into it, since I’m going to give this book away for free. But I promise, to make it a good ebook though.

I really want to keep my niche but what I needed is:
Helps to turn a unique niche into a profitable one.
Hey Glynis,
I’ll cover that in this ebook. One thing about choosing a profitable niche, is that you can do all the things right in the beginning to ensure that happens but the profits you make from it depends on a lot of external factors and also how much work you want to put into it continuously i.e time, commitment to the niche product.

How much are you going to sell this e-book for? Right now I’m in the red.
Hey Glynis,
I’m not going to sell it. I don’t have any plans on how to give it away to my readers or subscribers yet. I was thinking of doing it like a free course or a free ebook giveaway to my subscribers. But yeah, I will still be giving it away for free

Hello Bryan,
I am not an experienced marketer but I would say it would be cool if you could talk about the prospects of that market, how would it evolve over years.
I think I would be the happiest guy if I could find a market that has a very low competition now but great future.
P.S. I received your email am and sorry for the late reply, I was a little busy

Hey Alex,
Welcome back! Will definitely take note of that. Hmm, seems like I need a very good crystal ball embedded in my ebook to look at these elusive niches
Oh looking fwd to ur reply as well.
I’d probably say that the “finding a profitable niche” would be the most interesting because that’s where it all starts, for the most part. Instead of spending hours upon hours going after something that ultimately turns to be a dud – make sure it’s great from the very beginning

Murray,
I think that’s the most important part too. If you don’t know how to find a profitable niche, then all else doesn’t matter anyway cos you will set yourself up for some failed niche or failed business niche. I’ll definitely take in your input.
Hey Glynis,
Hm, can’t seem to find your sign up
But anyway stay tune.
