Today, I’d like to highlight 2 blog posts across the internet which I find interesting and like to share with my readers.
1. CommentLuv Backlinks and Feedburner Interfering?
I really wouldn’t have notice this problem if it wasn’t for stumbling across a blog post on this issue. Apparently, there is some conflict between your beloved CommentLuv Plugin with Feedburner stealing your backlinks. Weird huh?
Thankfully my commentluv comments on external blogs aren’t affected. Phew..
If you want to find out the easy way, just go to any CommentLuv enabled blog, hover your mouse over the link just at the bottom after getting the feed. If the link shows “http://feedproxy…” at the bottom of your web browser then you can be 100% sure that your links are stolen. If it shows your most recent article link, then rest assured you are fine.
To give credit to Brian of Synactable, I shall link you to his full article here on Feedburner stealing CommentLuv backlinks.
2. Technorati Blog Rankings
If you want to set a yardstick for blog performance and compare yours to other blogs in the world, Technorati is one of those right at the top if not THE TOP in my opinion. It ranks your blog based on a number of blog characteristics which involve:
- linking, backlinks
- traffic.
- content
This list is an oversimplified list so don’t you think that it could be generalized too broadly into those points. Go to Technorati to find out more
There are many other ways Technorati ranks you and their ranking algorithms change from time to time to reflect the blogging world. I’ve found an interesting article here written by Tran of AZblogtips to share with you, Boost Your Technorati Authority in 5 Ways.
