Article marketing is one of the most profitable strategy to build an internet business. If you are a frequent visitor to my blog, all the articles were written by me. I have also a number of articles written in some top article directories on the internet. You can view them on the link placed at the right sidebar below. Alright, not a 100% of those articles are written by me but probably a fraction of them are articles that were allowed distribution on blogs. If you were to ask me, is it better for me to write my own articles? The answer is a resounding YES! Let me explain further below
Establishing Your Own Presence
I’ve always been a firm believer in establishing your own personal profile or web presence online. It is not easy especially if you are new and there are heaps of competitions on the internet. You don’t have to write articles every single day, but having your own article with your author name establishes your own presence. It really is a step towards building your personal brand. I believe that article marketing is one way to really build your presence online but not the ONLY way.
You can also look at it from this perspective. If your articles are well written, of high quality, people will start noticing and will remember you as one of those who publish good articles. I remember there was one article I published in one article directory. I never knew that people would actually read it to begin with. But I was contacted by an owner of a goal setting website that my article was selected to be in one of the newsletter. He said that it was a very high quality article and that he would want it to be featured on his monthly newsletter. It really caught me by surprise. But yeah, having one of my articles published in a newsletter builds your personal presence and gets you instant publicity.
Hone Your Writing Skills
I remember a few months ago when I started writing articles. I never thought I would be able to continue writing. I was never a writer to begin with. I don’t consider myself having good writing skills, but I tried my best. I just give it a go. I know I had to push myself to keep writing. But when I first started, it wasn’t easy to get my creative juices going. I don’t know what to write and I didn’t know enough. You might end up in a similar situation like me, so I decided to read more about my own niche and then started posting articles and blog posts. And this is where I am today. Over time as I wrote more, my flow got better. I knew what words to choose and how to phrase it and explain it. But I must declare that I’m not an expert yet.
Top bloggers like Carlo Cab AKA “The Kid Blogger”, Darren of Problogger.net and Seth Godin are some of the top bloggers who have been around for a long time. They all started somewhere and they work extremely hard to get where they are now. So if you are feelings discouraged, once upon a time top bloggers were like newbies but they worked hard for it to get to where they are now.
Get Traffic
Alright I don’t have to explain this. I’m sure if you are reading all the internet marketing forums, attended internet marketing seminars, bought courses, free ebooks on traffic generation you would have been expert in this. Article marketing works and has been working for a long time even when Google changes its algorithms several times over the years. Again I don’t need to explain about choosing the right keywords because a thousand and one articles on the internet already touched on this. Getting traffic through article marketing however, does take some time still. You need to keep writing, publish and submit. You also must know how to choose the right title, keywords but at the same time human friendly.
There was a very good video on Ezinearticles, explaining it quite hilariously in a video if someone were to stuff keywords into a normal everyday conversation. Just try to imagine it..
Writing your articles can be a fun thing to do. If you find that you can’t write on any day, do something else or find inspirations from other sources. It is not easy to continuously write. I remember reading an article about Ty Tribble who wrote 5000 blog posts in 5 years. If my calculations are correct, everyday he would need to write at least 3 articles. I can’t imagine myself writing 3 articles daily unless I get someone to write for me. It is a great challenge but if you were to visit his website, he is the world’s top MLM network marketer. Go read about him if you are interested..

I agree completely. Original articles are the way to go. If you use other people’s writings you do not stand out. People won’t care about your site and search engines won’t find you.
