If you are using WordPress, chances are you will be using some sort of plugin. WordPress plugins are very useful if you know what kind of plugins to use and especially if your blog is some sort of business blog or with a similar sort of theme. If you were to have a look at WordPress plugins, there are literally thousands and thousands of them on the wordpress plugins website. You can find them here. As for anyone of you who want to have useful WordPress plugins to help with your business or internet marketing blog, you would definitely want to read about this below. No I’m not self promoting or an affiliate. I’m just plain old helping out you good folks with your blogs.
1. All-In-One SEO Pack
If you have been looking out for some good WordPress plugins, chances are you definitely have heard of this plugin. It is one of my personal favourites, because it automates almost the entire SEO process for your blog right down to individual posts. If you are having a headache with adding meta tags, meta keywords, title descriptions for your blog without looking at the HTML/PHP codes, then you are in luck. You must get this for your blog. As I’ve mentioned earlier, you can individually optimize each article on search engines. Go to the plugin website, and get it!
2. All-In-One Webmaster Pack
This plugin, as it suggests a very good webmaster tool for all your search engines. If you are submitting sitemaps to Google Webmaster service, than use this to automate the entire process. This plugin is not just restricted to Google but it can be used for Yahoo, Bing, and Ask.com to submit sitemaps.
There is also a Webmaster option for
- Bing
- Alexa Ranks (new)
- BlogCatalog (new)
- Yahoo
and an Analytics option for :
Analytics Option for- Quantcast (new)
- Click
- 103Bees
3. WP Super Cache
This plugin generates static html files from your dynamic WordPress blog. After a html file is generated your webserver will serve that file instead of processing the more demanding and expensive WordPress PHP scripts. As you might already know, slow loading websites is a negative ranking factor on search engines. The longer your website takes to load, the more unfavourable it is to the search engines. Since PHP scripts take some time to load, getting this Cache allows your blog or website to load significantly faster. Well, the content will not be as updated if you were to edit some code or add a new banner ad. But it will eventually show up on your website/blog.
The reason behind doing this is that 99% of visitors will be served static files according to the developer. There is also an option for the Super-Cache feature but it really depends if your webserver supports this feature.
4. Dagon Design Sitemap Generator
Sitemaps are really useful, not just for the search engines for indexing purposes but also for your visitors. It is a good guide to help them navigate around your website. This is not just another XML sitemap plugin, but rather a true sitemap generator which is highly customizable from its own options page in the WordPress admin panel. There are more features to support multi-level categories and pages, comment counts or posts, permalink structure. Anyway, visit the WordPress plugin website to find out more. Just key in Dagon Design Sitemap Generator and you will find it
So I hope you try them out. There are still a handful more which I will mention in the future. So stay tune. For now, just try using them and see what you think.
Cheers!
